I see from your profile that you an auto technician.

Are you ASE certified?

I have ASE Masters Certification, ASE L1 advanced Driveabilty Certification, and ASE M1 gasoline and diesel engine Machinist certification, and a AAS in electronics technology from 1990.

What certifications or degrees do you have so you can better me and **** on top of me again?

Or can You ?

As I have said before, I have no need to prove anything on a forum. As far as ASE's you can't compete.

If I can compete, then state all Your ASE's.

Do not be shy.

Its auto technician against the veteran Mechanic-me.

ASE Master Mechanic & ASE L1 Advanced Driveability Specialist is the highest certifications you can earn and obtain testing through ASE's for an Auto Mechanic in the USA.

In the past I was a GM Master Mechanic too.

I have held all my ASE Certifications since 1999.

How long have you held yours?

I always test and pass with a 95% passing grade or higher.

A few occasions I passed tests 100%.

No questions missed at all.

How about yourself?

How do you do testing and grade results from your ASE tests taken by you ?

Thanks for that link. I would like to meet that guy and learn from him. A man with initiative not afraid to have a go.

So Brian, let's focus on Vortechs. One for the 87 and one for the 84. Won't have to be embarassed when someone asks about how they go on the quarter mile anymore. Maybe Joby has got a few lying around now that he has gone turbo.

While I have been waiting around for DCS to send me my intake I have had no choice but to go play with my "butchered" 9 sec Aussie Ford Fairlane.

Its not quite that bad where I am Steve here in Illinois.

I am Downstate from Chicago.

You see,............

Anyone outside of the Chicago main hub is a "Hillbilly" like Bronze 85 calls me.

The sad fact is 99% of Chicagoland is broke like the rest of the USA is right now.

He is no better off than the rest.

If he has $$$$, it won't last forever.

The rest of the recession in the USA is yet to be seen this year in following months of 2011.

Only the best and most resourceful will survive.

I spent about 10 years of my life working in and around Chicago.

Bronze 85 does not scare me.

I heard gunshots daily in downtown Chicago working on the South Side.

Joliet, Illinois people are more like myself.

Not like Bronze 85 is.

Most of my Mustang buddies and other late model GM racing friends are in Joliet.

Vortech Superchargers are awesome if setup right, the rest of the car or C4(s) around it.
And very reliable power on tap when desired or requested with your gas pedal foot.

Brian

I know that Brian. Just making a point about respecting others. It is easy to slag off at people when one is hiding behind a computer.

Not yet. This was my first race on 25/03/11. Still getting the hang of it before I turn the gas on. I am thinking of getting one of those mini on-board cameras.

My old Boss Gary at that shop in downtown Chicago on the Southside must have been a "Hillbilly too".

He drove a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Convertible LS-1 6-speed daily.

I would park my red 87 vert next to his Trans Am all the time.

He loved downstate Illinois.

He bought 5 acres of lakefront property and built his own vacation home mansion there.

His personal escape.

He drove his 2002 TA down there too.

This downstate hillbilly- me was his driveability specialist and main mechanic.
And emissions repair technician.
Cars and trucks that did not pass city of Chicago's smog check and came to his shop,
I diagnosed and repaired them.

I must be a dumbass hillbilly like Bronze 85 says I am.

I think not.............

Brian

What can I say ?

They want me dead.

Steal my car(s).

Take my knowledge.

Take my money.

Take my dignity.

And whatever else they can get.

But in person..............

Most would run when I come after them to fight.

The 1 % that choose to fight I welcome.

They have a backbone and pride.

That is admirable.

Fight we may and will.

Its either my "classic 84 vette" or a "crummy 88 fox body" but either ones gonna be butchered expecially a stang their horrible!! more power is more power this thread was really about an intake manifold so takeing that into consideration i dont think thats to much of a butchers job for my vette u know!!! Besides the stock peices can be kept and put back nice and easy! Good luck for everyone who ordered a manifold from this crummy place it looked like a nice site for those interested in modifying there crossfire cars but i deffinatly wont get anymore work or parts from them after this manifold comes through thats for sure!
