1996 LT-1 Automatic: This morning had a hard time starting, acted like it was hard to get fuel , then after starting it ran fine all day till a manifold leak, oil on drivers rear side. SO I took off manifold, replaced gaskets and put the right stuff on front and rear (and up onto the tabs of gasket, like you are supposed to), then after everything was said and done, refired it and a check guages light came on, no service engine soon light, and heard a rattling (front of motor, took off belt and restarted nothing changed) when in gear, and/or loaded with A/C then the motor loads up bad and dies. Changed MAF, and nothing, changed EGR (even though turned off by PCM, just checking for stuck open valve). Then with soapy spray water on manifold
to check for vacuum leaks, and nothing, no change etc. So, when you turn on A/C or put in gear it loads up and dies.
Also, Brand new OPTI, less than 1 month old. New wires, plugs.
Fuel Pressure with factory regulator and vacuum line disconnected 50psi (seems high).
Checked all vaccum lines. When I took them off, such as fuel pressure regulator line, rpms went up as they normally do.
Vacuum is bad now, and it is gettin gworse. The engine has no power, sounds like timing/fuel mixture off.
