Hey guys ive got a quick question. On my 86 coupe the lights on the diagnostic panel have never lit up aside from the fasten seat belt light. I'm not sure if there is a problem with the panel or if the PO may have disabled it so that the check engine light wouldn't come on.
He modded the engine a little bit so I think that that is a possibility. Any ideas on what I can do to troubleshoot it? The light bulbs work, I moved a few of them to the seat belt socket and they came on.
The majority of the lights are powered by 2 fuses and ground is sent from switches/senders etc, to turn the lights on. I would pull the unit and test for power inputs, maybe the PO cut the wires back there.
Ctsy/Clk and Injector 1 are the 2 major fuses.
Here is some info from my FSM
