I called this place the other day and asked (since they claim to be AC Delco) if the optical was Mitsubishi and he said he didn't know. I found that a bit strange. Has anyone bought one of these and looked inside?

I replaced my Opti with a better designed one that is warrantied and available on Ebay. Installed it last December and it works great.

The vendor post from Chandler Motorsports is here in post #23:

surprised no one mentioned the eficonnection 24x setup for the lt1. Also there is the Bob Bailey LTCC conversion that uses Northstar ignition. I'm personally running the 24x setup on my camaro.

I'm happy with my white box opti from Summit. Its made it thru the season so far and is working well. I figured I'd update my experience with it.

As far as why no one mentions the 24x system is the high cost. I've looked at it several times and I could almost buy 6 AC/Delco or more than 10 no-name opti's for the cost of that system!
