Started this June, 09 with a set of head ported by cuisenartvette
then the built short block from QMP racing
Then various parts gathered over the last 18 or so months, some from the good folks here on the forum and some from JimTune here in OKC. Jim is doing the tune.
Finally of the last couple of months I've been getting all new sensors, switches, water pump, etc. and putting it all together. Also, cleaned up a few things to make them look a little better.
Thanks to everyone The cam was custom designed around the rest of the parts I had bought for the engine by the same guy who is doing the tune. As Ron (cuisenartvette) mentioned to me it is very torguey. But it's still on the small side.
I'm about a month behind you with my 383 build. Our Cam specs are almost identical. Mine started up on a stand last week at the builders shop for run-in. I can't wait to pick it up next weekend. What did you do for a tune?

The tuner is a local guy. I won the tune from a raffle at a car show. I took the Mem Cal from the computer to him on Friday and he replace the original chip with a new one that was programmed for the new engine specs. Good luck on yours.

Thanks, I actually spent quite a few evenings and Saturdays doing just cleaning and painting. The block, heads and TB are all new as well as the water pump and most of the sensors.f
