87 Fuel pump problem
My 87 is having fuel pump problems. The fuel pressure just drops off while the car is running. I replaced the fuel pump relay but it still did the same thing. I replaced the fuel pump yesterday thinking it was the problem but it wasn't. When I jump the connecter at the oil pressure switch sometimes I get fuel pressure but sometime I don't. If I tap the jumper on and off quickly I can get the fuel pump to run again sometimes.... while I'm doing this I can hear the relay behind the battery near the driver's side door ( burn off relay ?) clicking. anybody have any ideas ?

When I turn the key on I don't get the couple seconds of fuel pump like I should either. But again tapping the jumper quickly on the oil pressure switch gives me fuel pressure after a while.

Does the pump run if you apply 12v to terminal "G" on the ALDL connector ?

I would think the pump ground is either on G400 or G401 on a 87, probably G401 but I'm not 100% sure which one.
