Help please.

Could you clarify what led up to the car having these issues? It might help us help you.
Also, reading your posts from the top, I know you mentioned cleaning all the grounds, but to double-check, did you do the one behind the driver's foot/kick panel and on the driver side of the bell-housing and check that no wires were broken at both locations too?
You mention no power to starter, presume you mean the selenoid (smaller gauge wires), and not the main cable (2-4 gauge). If not, please advise.
Also, regarding the interior lights not working, the CCM does control them, but via a signal from the door switches. So if the door switches are bad, it can cause all sorts of odd problems. fyi there's a procedure for pulling the door switches out right through their hole without taking the door apart to test them (or there is a CCM input test feature available if the CCM can be put into test mode -- see FSM or do a search or post back).
The main fusible links are right below the battery & battery tray.
Easiest to access them if you remove the driver's side lower front fender gill.
10mm bolts and a few 7mm screws to remove to free up that fender gill.
GM Fusible links are "ORANGE" in color.
The fusible links are all tied to a 3/8" inch bolt/stud power junction point on my 1987 right below the battery tray.
Shine a Bright Maglight style flashlight around 1st,
You should see the power junction point with all fusible link power point wires coming off.
If I recall correctly this morning there around 10 fusible power link wires.
Do the tug pull test 1st on each.
Then recheck with a test light for power coming through the fusible link(s) and out to each of Your Vettes electrical circuits.
I am glad you are making an attempt on your own to troubleshoot & repair your Corvette.
You may get it done and running again on your own with some guidance from myself and others here on C4.

They were both on the fuse box on the back side of the battery.
They were red wires up to the link and then after the link one was black( a thinner wire ) and one was green ( a thicker wire ).
The black wire did seem looser then the other one. so not sure really what to do now, i looked all over but i couldn't find any other links.

And yes i did check and clean the grounds on the frame rail on the side of the battery, as well as the one's on the bell housing 3rd bolt up i think. With the starter i took off both nuts big and little and cleaned the contacts.
few..... that's about it.

What is the diffrence between the red and white books?

I do no think there is any difference, just 1st edition and 2nd edition publications.
My original copy of the 1987 GM Corvette FSM is White.
Check at your local Junior College(Auto Mechanics Shop Teachers) or library for a copy of the 1995 GM Corvette FSM.
They may just have an original copy you can borrow.
Some local library's will sell them for the cheap to you if they have an original copy>>>>>>>> $.50 cents to $5.00.
My pop's is retired and works at a local library part time to keep from getting bored.
He has found me amazing readings an Factory GM service manuals in the library's basement for just $.50 cents.
Did your dad ever try to jump your Corvette just by chance?
Where he had to connect a battery charger up because the battery was low or dead ?

Your dad loves you I am sure as mine does.
I learned years ago not to let him around my hotrods too long in the past.
He would sometimes tinker on his own with them.
He missed his 1959 Pontiac 2dr 389 tri-power Catilina, 1968 Lemans 400 HO 4-speed, and a few other cars too.
Him & I are exactly the same........stubborn SOB's and crazy when mad.
Remember its just a car.
It can be fixed.
It can even be replaced.
But never can your DAD be replaced.
Ever.

I am thinking the CCM at least got killed accidental.
If you want a used and tested CCM for less $$ than a New or reconditioned part...
Try getting a hold of Midnight 85.
He is a C4 Forum member too.
He knows Jason @ Vette2Vette in Streator, Illinois.
Both Chuck & Jason are good guys and very knowledgeable with C4's.
I do not know what they would charge for a used CCM or any other part required to get your Vette up and running again.
The phone call or email is free to them.
They have plenty of used and a few new parts for all C4's & C5's.

Shoot my dad stored the car, ran the car and drove the car since 2008 to make sure it wasn't completly getting ignored so when i got out of the Marines i could play.

Check your home email. I sent you the CCM drawings.
Hawk,
If you pull the 3 CCM fuses we discussed and check the voltages on each pin of the fuses, one terminal of each fuse should be 12 volts under specific conditions. One terminal should have 12 volts when:
CCM 2 should always be 12 volts
CCM 1 & 3 should have 12 volts on it when the key is turned to the ON position only.
If this is true, I would then assume any fuse links (& high current fuses) needed for the CCM operation are OK.

Do your troubleshooting in a diagnostic approach.
Always.
1) Verify the problem.
2) Isolate the problem.
3) Repair the problem in an orderly fashion.
4) Recheck your work for any potential and immediate near future problem(s).
5) Road test the car.... in your case burn rubber again & smile ear to ear doing so.

You need to verify you are getting 12volts dc power to the CCM, ECM, ect.
YOU ALSO NEED A RETURN POWER PATH(S).
ALSO KNOWN AS NEGATIVE GROUNDS ON C4'S AND MOST OTHER AMERICAN CARS.
Make your checks with a digital dvm.
If you do not have one go to Sears or Radio Shack & buy a new dvm multimeter for yourself.
You will use it at least 100 times in the next 5 years around the house and on your other vehicles and buddies' too.
THE OTHER FORUM MEMBERS ARE VERY EXPERIENCED TOO THAT ADDED TO YOUR THREAD.
Good advice and tips from all.

Atlest at this point we have.
The GM scanners are supposed to be updated at least weekly with the latest software revisions.
Tech 2 will "Talk to OBD 1 cars too.
I have done it that way with the Tech 2.

So i paid the dealer the $$$ and got my Corvette out of there.
It's now sitting in my garage.
And with pcolt94's diagrams i'll start tinkering with it untill i get my FSM'S.
