someone ought to suggest the VAT systme and a broken wire on the ignition switch, which will not allow the stater to work its the securtity system maybe GG
Not sure exactly what your suggesting (explain GG). But if you feel it a VATS problem, there is a lot more wrong than VATS would ever do. Read the early posts. Lots of basic items are not working, lights, chimes, inst panel display + more. All related to CCM operation.
We are now trying make sure there is power to the CCM and some activation inputs. If those voltages are there, then there is a chance the CCM is defective
Might not be a bad idea to just check to make sure you don't have any shorts anywhere. Easy enough to do, just get a multimeter that can read Amps. Disconnect the negative lead from the battery and connect one multimeter lead to the negative battery post and the other mutimeter lead to the negative cable. You should see about 50mA or less of power being drawn. Anything more might point to a short which could give a number of control modules the fits depending on where the shore is.
I had a bad Selective Ride control module that was drawing 1.2 amps. My car ran, but my battery would die within 24 hours! It's possible a short is causing issues with the CCM or another module.
BTW, you wanted the red FSM...the whites are preliminary and refer a lot of steps to prior year red FSM. The red FSM will have complete information.
