1996 LT-1 When I push the gauges button I get a zero reading on everything, Zero volts, zero temp zero all. Is there a wire off somewhere, everything else is working fine.
This could be a difficult problem to target. All the different temperatures and displays are inputted by different sensors to the CCM. Your gauges button inputs to the CCM and is changing the display. Sounds like the CCM is not processing the information correctly or there might be a connector problem. I would focus in on the CCM area. Maybe reseat the connectors and or clean them. Remove the battery connector first.
If I were to troubleshoot this myself, I would connect my Tech1 (or scanner) and look at the serial bus. This would tell you if the CCM is receiving the information you are missing or otherwise. If you don’t have a scanner, I would check for any codes using the on board diagnostics. Even if there are no codes, you want at least to know if you can interrogate the system and get a C12 and know that communication is functioning.
