First thing I would do is pull the fuse for the backup lights and see if they go out. If they don’t, then voltage is coming from elsewhere. (which is a hard thing to believe).
If the lights do go out, I would re-visit the backup light switch and look at the voltage from the output wire back to the lamps. Monitor the voltage in other gears. If it stays there, then there is a problem with the switch.
