Default 93 bogging down

My 93 Lt1 bogs down on acceleration like it's starving for gas or air.
earlier this year it was intermiitent and by measuring temp on either side of CATS i had a clogged CAT. welded 2 new in and it was ok but intermittently would do the same. have replaced fuel filter, plugs+wires, fuel press reg, omhed out injectors. Another thing -My service engine light does not come on at all even when key is turned on. AM I looking at maybe an ECM issue? Car has 60k on it

Those guys should have disconnected the Computer before the started to "weld" so it shouldn't be an ECM/PCM issue.
60K sweet - that thing must be cherry. It could be a weak "spark" under heavy electrical "load" Battery/alternator is/are good (age/tested/tight connection points)?

Battery was replaced last year when i had SYS blinking on dash. why would my service engine light not come on when key is turned on. bad bulb? i hope
Also once it does bog then it will idle really bad. then once in awhile a mile or so later it will have power back. but lately it won't clear up

Weak fuel pump?? Put a gauge on the fuel rail and see what your fuel pressure is at idle and under load.

Though what you describe could be almost anything.

Did the service light ever work? Previous owner may have removed bulb, just guessing?

the Service Engine Soon (SES) light should illuminate whenever the key is on and the engine is not running. If the bulb is burnt out (or other) you may have Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that are active. The link below will show you a way to view fault codes in the speedometer display.

Changing the SES bulb is not hard. You can even temporally swap a bulb from another location. You can still pull the codes regardless.
Just an some ideas, hang a fuel pressure gauge to check the pressure as problem is happening. Does problem seem to have anything with temperature? The ECM might be acting up. Might try putting a bag of ice on the ECM.

Try unplugging the MAF (but I think it is speed density on that year). See if the engine runs any better. Might check the connections to the ECM, ICM, opti, TPS and any other sensor or ignition piece.
