The popping sound is in the amps. Have the amps serviced and the popping will stop.
You have to use a Bose replacement speakers. After market speakers are normally 4 or 8 ohms. Bose speakers are 1ohm. If you plug 4 ohm speakers into a Bose amp, the amp will blow.
Where is the popping, probably one speaker and not all.
How is your electronic ability with soldering, de-soldering and taking thing apart. If you can do this, then you can save lots of money by just replacing a few filter capacitors. Or you can send it out for repair and pay much bigger bucks.

One of the major Corvette parts places (Eckler's?) has those amps as new reproductions now for about 80 or 90 bucks which is the cost of repair for an old amp. Wish that existed last year, I had all mine repaired.
