Can't you use the breather holes? That's how I fill my "Corvette" script-cover models.

Are you using a chip with the larger injectors? Did you have to upgrade your fuel pump or pressure regulator?

I was looking at the baffle plate under the hole and thinking it would be pretty restrictive, or maybe i just to need to accept it will take a while longer than normal and be patient ??

Yes, I have sent my Fastchip back to Ed Wright to be reburnt, he sent me an email last night saying it was on its way back.
I am running a 255 LPH fuel pump and adjustable regulator.

Hi Black...can you give me some info about Ed wright your tuner...in Europe its very hard find someone working on this old obd1 stuff, actually i'm learning a lot about my 870 and Tunerpro RT,preparing myself for future tuning, but ,at the moment i would like to have someone able to tune my 870.From PCMFORLESS site i see they don't list anything for your 85 HLH 870 ecm, they starts from 86-89 165 stuff...so if there is someone that works on our one year stuff it would be great.Let me know something..a link or email ..thanks

Well for one reason and another I have had a week out of the shed, but I did continue to spend money on the car !
Time to get back into it, need to give the lifters an oil bath and fit them in,

Next up, clean and fit the pushrods, I have gone with the Compcams magnum chromemolly 7.30" ,
big tip at this stage, make sure the oil pump shaft is engaged into the oil pump, much easier to do this now than when the engine is in the car !

I have ditched the steel roller tips and bought some Compcams 1.6 alloy roller rockers

I did a test fit of the stud girdle but they hit the breather baffle plate, so i will leave them off for now,

I have touched up the intake gaskets to match the ports, and held them in place while i put the RTV silicone on the walls.

Thanks mate !

I have set the rockers and fitted up a new PCV set up, and put the water pump on,
i swapped the engine from the stand to the hoist to fit the flexplate, next problem is the change from 153 to 168 tooth flexplate (forgot about that), starter motor doesnt fit how silly of me to think i could get thru this week without buying more parts !
Looking at a mini starter if anyone has any experience with those ?

Ministarters are awesome. The clockable type even better opens up lots of clearance.

Your flex plate is also an external balance. Just checking.
