I have a 93 headlight that the right headlight 1/2 opens, the motor keeps running but the lite bounces till the motor stops. The motor is keeps running regardless putting the headlight up or down for a few seconds.
I have read a lot on this site regarding gears, bushings and other issues.
Do i need a new motor, or will gears and bushings be the fix?
If anyone has any links on this repair procedure?
Most likely you can just replace the 3 bushings in the gear assembly (motor) and that will fix it. Instructions usually come with the bushings. Some people replace the whole gear but I have not found that necessary most of the time. That not what weares out, the bushings crumble to power.
I watched the video, not bad but it's not necessary to remove the whole headlight assembly to do the job. You can just get the motor out with a few bolts and clips.
