Default lt1 stoped running
Never had any trouble with car , took of from light went to shift into 3rd engine dieded restarter but wont idle, wont rev up runs real rough. Any ideas where to start ?

Get a hold of a code reader and see what codes it's throwing.

This might even be the culprit. Water pump bought the dust weep hole dumped coolant all over the opti? I thought the pre 94 were sealed and not vented as well? Not sure how that factors in. I remember replacing the power steerin and water pump in my 96 TA one day but didn't have to replace the opti.

I agree on the water pump and Opti-Spark. It does not like to get wet.

Check a few things. 1. Coil. 2. Fuel filter, 3. Fuel pump. 4. Plugs and wires 5. Opti.

Opti is easy to replace. A couple hours start to finsih.

If you are going to put in a new opti look at the petris vented opti. I put one on my 94 a few weeks ago and the car has never run better. It is very well built.
