new finding again. just doing some test nothing out of the ordinary. notes relay connector a little dirty. did no cleaning since I have almost no tools here but reconnect
start the car and start ok fuel pump working now. but when step on the gas the car want to die. is like when I step on the gas the electricity stop for a second and fuel pump stop for a second leaving the engine with out gas for a second.
if I let go the fuel pedal the engine get back to normal idle
I think cleaning all the contacts are in order first.
can some one help me. and tell me witch are important connection for the fuel electrical system to clean up?????
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge ?
When was fuel filter last changed ?
Yes i have a fuel preasure gauge. Filter was change about a year ago. The think is the car is in my office far from home. I have to get it home first to do a better job. Tomorro i will go to the car with a big can of conctact cleaner. Se what happend.
yesterday when I test the car the fuel pump was working. but when I step on the gas the car wants to die on me.
When the problem started the fuel pump was dead. no fuel preasure at all.
I turn the key to on and no sound from the fuel pump.
so I think is not a fuel filter problem or clogged fuel tube
definitive is and electrical problem.
I think somehow when I step on the gas the volts drop and the the fuel pump get no power making the car to want to die.
I test the following all ready
battery engine off. 12.6 volts
battery engine on 13.4 I think. dont remeber now but it was higher than 13.volts
fuel preasure will test tomorrow when I get to the office
what to see what happend when I step on the gas
ok I got to the car this morning install the fuel preasure gauge and them. no battery. the battery was dead. I took the battery to the shop they say is no good so I get my self a new battery. now I have to wait into a new chance to work on the car.
seen extrange that the battery die in 2 days. it was ok on saturday. I always disconect the battery . but forgot to doit this time.
any way wondering if this have some to do with the all this fuel situation
Just to clarify on the battery issue. A heavily sulphated battery will cause challenges if not outright die and it sure won't want to take a charge.
So, a couple of questions, How long does the car sit between times when you regularly use it? Have you been using a trick charger occasionally while the car is sitting? Did (or can) you check the fluid level in the battery.
Unless it going to cost you a ton of money I would suggest you get the car towed home so you have all the tools, time and space to work on it. MUCH less stress. When you get it home put a trickle charger on the battery for a couple of days.
If that battery cable was loose, it may not have been recharging it while running. You might have had enough juice to start but eventually it ran down enough to die. Just a thought.
