I think I will try the stinger, but will it be long enough to go through the large positive connector and into battery? It looks like a short bolt.

If you look at the one that I posted in either the 2nd or 3rd post, then you can use that one. It is the one I am currently using and it works perfect with plenty of room.

I use this style...except that the ones I get are gold plated. They work.

The battery terminal bolts are basically all the same depth where they go through the cable end and thread into the battery.

The only problem I have ever run into is where the threads in the battery were worn and the new Stinger terminal bolt did not tighten up...because the evident problem that I could see in the battery threaded portion. VERY, VERY rarely I get a terminal bolt that have threads on it that just do not look right. Compare the factory terminal bolt to the new one.

I got it done, works well, but got the longer one first and since it left a lot of space, cable would not make good contact and car wouldn't start. So reinstalled old, then got the short one. Thanks everyone.

If I may ask, where did you get the gold plated ones? All my other terminals under the hood are gold plated and I would like it to match, plus it is a better current transfer.

Thanks
