I too am considering going with this as I want to add a rev limiter and 2 step. I was all set to get an MSD 6AL-2 but after researching-it seems in many cases it can damage the rotor and cap. My opti is working fine so I may go this route.
What wires did you solder? I may of missed it.
Thank you, there are four wires that I soldered.
LTCC to Factory Wiring
-Two Pink from LTCC to single pink w/black stripe on factory ICM connector.
-White wire with black dot from LTCC to white wire on gray factory coil connector
-Solid white wire from LTCC to solid white wire on factory ICM connector
The two yellow wires are for the activation of the two-step built in adjustable N2O / boost retard. I've heard of people connecting these wires to the window switch to activate it. I didn't delve much into this area as I plan on keeping near stock.
I ran the car pretty hard on Saturday got the temp up to 227 degrees in Tampa on Patterson road. Had a little fun with a GSX-R 750. The car never skipped a beat. Ran perfect, Hurst short throw felt like a dream rowing through the gears. Need the exhaust to have a little more character though in my opinion. May switch back to muffler eliminators.

Thanks for the response and great information!
If I go this way I will post my results in this thread.

Personally, I hate the boom from eliminators... and with more and more towns adopting noise regs, it seems easier to stick with a nice aftermarket exhaust. I am a huge fan of Corsa... sounds great during WOT, but quiet enough at cruise that you won't go deaf.

And yes, I have had both!!!
Ive had the eliminators as well and miss them at times especially with targa off. I have the Magnaflow catback right now, and while it sounds good, it sort of lacks character. I don't see myself spending bookoo money on a Corsa system...
Edit (8/31/17)- unrelated to thread but I did end up ditching the Mags and going with Corsa

Bookoo money hey, I agree with you on the corsa tho. Try out the chambered muff elims. I'll try and get you a sound clip tomorrow. And I heard a C4 with the Magnaflow. It was too quiet for me.

I'm honestly content with the volume of the Magnaflow system, I am more concerned with tone. To me the Magnaflow system sounds good but it just kind of has a boring monotone bass sound. It lacks the burble and tone like a stock Mustang GT has. Will have to figure something out.
I just wanted to bump this thread for anyone out there that may have been interested in the conversion but couldn't see the original pics from back in 2015. I went through and deleted all the photobucket links that are now broken and reuploaded them through the forum itself. Hoping this thread can help anyone out in the future. I have not (fingers crossed) been stranded since doing the conversion. Before it, I went through 3 optis due to no good aftermarket replacements and a dried up reserve of NOS Mitsubishi units.

Id like to bump by saying, I was recommended this system by Lingenfelter when I asked them how they recommend retarding the timing on my LT-4 when on Nitrous. Is there not an easier way? Ive got the Gen 2 Opti with no problems and even had it, "rebuilt" and updated by the guy everyone recommends (new cap rotor and bearing/seals).
Saccity opti seems fine after 3 months; prior AC Delco 2 in 2 months. Saccity very easy to talk to, and will answer any questions about product. Plus 2 yr warranty

yep sounds like an ac delco remanufactured in china optispark
not a NOS OEM optispark
Bumping an old thread as I just finished up the LTCC conversion on my 94. Fun project that will greatly improve the reliability of the ignition system! I have $550 all in using take off LS2 coils and a new plug wire kit. I made the aluminum brackets to mount the coils.
Very cool! What exactly are the brackets fixed to? Looks like the same coils I have. Any chance you'd be willing to make some more brackets? I'd be interested in ones that actually fit the '94-'96 valve covers, all the ones I've seen were for the older cover design.

I started with 1/8” aluminum sheet and sheared it to size. The aluminum plate is bolted to the valve covers by removing the OEM bolts and adding 1/2” spacers with longer M6 bolts. You’ll also need to make some standoffs to mount the coils to the aluminum plate. I needed to remove the A.I.R pipes on both exhaust manifolds for clearance. Lastly, a longer oil fill neck with a push in oil cap or filter is needed.
I don't have the 93 anymore. But car is running top with the new owner Still. But I also had clearance issues with the AIR. My dad looked at it, and said, "just flip those coils son". He was right
Not as proper looking. But I was/am proud of it. And it got the job done.
I remember one user installed them on the side of the heads, above the headers. Real short plug wires that way. I am just not sure how well the coils will take the heat... unless the headers are seriously heat coated.
I got some brackets from a shop in Oklahoma, IIRC... I modified them to work with the LS2 coil (much better option, the spark does not break up at 6500 RPM like the LS1 coils do). These were super sharp looking billet, but they still covered the valve covers and that would suck with those bad *** killer covers you have.
Another option that I considered was the cross member... down around the radiator, but again, heat is a real concern. I know that was a popular place to put the DelTeq Northstar Coilpack module. Perhaps a small heat shield would help?
What are your emission laws like? Going with heat coated headers will buy you 30 hp, at least, and free up space. I know that some of the newest heat coatings will make the headers almost cool enough to touch when "hot". Amazing tech, came out of aerospace and I first read about this next gen stuff in a British car mag about race car engineering. This stuff was being used on 2-stroke racing motorcycles, and the mechanics could touch the exhaust with simply a mechanics glove and not melt their hands off. amazing, utterly amazing.
I had been planning on moving the LTCC brain into my glovebox, but that does require drilling a 15-20mm hole in the firewall! But it keeps the brain weather proof, and allows you to remove the metal cover, put on a clear cover (dust protection) and see the little LED in real time, if needed. Never did get around to doing that...
I installed LTCC back in 2003!!! And the guy who owns my 92 still is running it. It has proven to be very durable and works very well. I would do it again... I helped the designer by rewriting the install manual... AFAIK, that version is still being distributed... on occasion, I still get an email from someone with questions! It's been a couple of years (really, that recent), but I am glad to help.
As an aside, I ended up with a C6 - 2006 (very) Yellow coupe, 6spd. Base model. GREAT CAR! Love it to pieces.
