Default 93 6 speed 1/4 in third

Hey guys I have a 93 6 speed with the stock 3.45 gears, however it has a pcmofnc chip in it and I've yet to find the rev limiter. I've only taken it to 6k once anyways. What rpm would I need to push to cross the 1/4 in 3rd? The car has muffler deletes, no cats, lid/k&n, tune and is in top running condition. I'm thinking a 105 -6 mph is where it will be, just curious of others experiences, if they had to shift to fourth or ride out third. I know stock it's not possible cause of the 5750 redline you'll hit the limiter. im going to run it this saturday so would like to get some info in this, thanks

You'll probably be able to cross in 3rd with those gears.

You should shift into 4th at 106 that would be 6200 rpm which is too high for a stock lt1. Shifting to 4th will probably be faster and keep the engine in one piece.

I have a 92 six speed with 3.45's as well. I have it the local vette shop to most likely replace the opti. It's basically stock from what I have see but the mechanic is gonna look over it while troubleshooting. Anyways, have you ever ran your car completely stock and if so what 1/4 times did you get?

Thanks that's what I was wondering when I get the lt4 springs maybe I'll push it. I though saving a shift might help my times. I've never ran it stock but after tomorrow I'll post up some times and let ya know what I run. I'll keep it at or under 6k. I want to drive it home at the end of the day lol...

When it was still stock (just a Corsa cat back) my 92 6spd went a best 13.38@108mph in absolute mineshaft air. This was at Coastal Plains Dragway in Jacksonville NC in the fall.

Typically it would run 13.50s and 105-107mph. Had to use 4th gear and short shifting 4th at 52-5300rpm was always faster than redlining the 4th gear change.... running 3rd gear for all it was worth and pulling 4th late would kill mph to like 102 and hurt et by a tenth.
