On my C68 climate control I ether have to set it to 90 for good heat or 60 for good cold air, if I set it to say 75 it does not seem to hold that temp. I have no codes on the C68 it just seems to always been that way. I was wondering if they were like that from new.
Pull the Blower Control Module out (in the engine bay). Shine a flash light into the hole and look toward the firewall. Get a helper to adjust the Temperature up and down. You be able to see the door move that allows cold and hot air into the cabin. You will also see the Heater core. Let us know what you see at 60, 75, and 90.
OK the blend door is working it fully blocks the heater core when set at 60 and fully goes the other-way at 90, it goes to the same position at 70 as it is at 90.

Thank You, does your C68 keep your temp inside the car at around 75.
The only time of year I would say the interior is warmer than 75 is in July and August. I have to lower the temp. to 68 - 70 to feel comfortable.
My C68 is a 88. I just had the AC/Heater programmer repaired by BATEE.COM. My Blend door would get stuck in the 60 -65 setting and when last November came along I had no heat.

That sounds like a problem in the HVAC programmer (located above the gas pedal, bolted to a bracket on the firewall with a 7mm screw). The motor direction resistors get very hot and can either break or cause the solder to go bad. Take the HVAC programmer out and check out the resistors.
The resistors in question are in the lower left corner of the PC board in this picture. You can see that the PC board is discolored from the heat:
I had the programmer out when I first got the car to fix a vacuum leak, my controller is different than the one in your pic Chris, it does not have the two big resisters in the lower left.
I also have a 1990 and it works much the same way as yours. I set to max temp either hot or cold and adjust as I get confortable. This system is not going to work like the new car rember it is 25 years old with probably 30 year old technology.
I understand its age related Rob but I am going to try and trouble shoot it to see if I can get it to work correctly. I am looking through the FSM and am going to try and check all the perimeters to see if it is anything else before I mess with the programmer. Right now I am busy with the front spring. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...af-spring.html

The whole point of the automatic digital system is that you don't have to do that. Set it to the temperature you want and the system will do what it takes to get there.
