I think I have some brackets made. I'm trying to bolt them to the c beam though. Would it be strong enough with 4 bolts and nuts 2 on the top of the beam and 2 on the bottom instead of the 2 long bolts.. I seem to have misplaced them and can't find anywhere around that has anything the right length.

I would think you want/need 'pass-through' longer hardware, the bore alignment of the brackets and the beam I'd think very important BUT maybe the more critical would be the fit of the hardware in the bores. You want it very tight next to maybe a 'force-fit' through the four beam bores and the brackets that you've fabricated.

Good luck on whichever and whatever you decide. Some snapshots of your work?

I was thinking I needed the longer bolts.. I did find the originals and I believe they will work. I am not around the car right now but I can probably post some pictures of the brackets tomorrow. Should be done tomorrow and hopefully drive it.

I've been so busy lately I've only had an hour or so here and there to mess with it.. I have been having trouble getting brackets to line up still fabricating them.. When I get it in i will post pics of it in the car.
