If it is turning over but not starting start with spark and fuel pressure. If it has spark shoot some starter fluid in it and post back.

congrats & Welcome. You need more specifics. Won't start is a vague term.
Can you confirm you have 12 Volt's, is your starter turning the engine over. Fuel to the carb, Spark at the coil & plugs.

Try holding the gas pedal to the floor and try starting.

That should have cleared it. Pull the vacumme line off the fpr and smell and look for fuel. If you can put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see the pressure and see how long it holds. just saw it has a carb dose it have a fuel pressure regulator? Tap on the top of the carb and see if the float is stuck.

Are you poisitve. From number one on the cap. You have the correct 18436572 dist to plug orientation? Your engine started before your Alternator, plug & wire upgrade???

What kind of fuel pump did you put in? Carbonators only need a few lbs of pressure to operate. The fuel injection systems pumps can have 40 lbs of pressure which is too much for a carburetor. It would probably over ride the needle valve and flood the engine making it hard to start.

You might pull a plug and see if they look wet.

Make sure the firing order is correct as stated already and the timing is close to correct.

If it is trying to kick and start, then there is probably spark but I would check for it anyway.

Probably need to use some old school technology since you have a pretty basic engine now. Make sure the basics are there to get it started and not in excess.

Look down the throat of the carbonator, open the butterfly and see if fuel shoot out from the accelerator pump.

Most of the suggestions are referring to a EFI setup. He has a carb, so suggest accordingly...

How is the distributor set up for advance? An EFI system has ECM control of the advance through the ignition module output/input, so how do you handle spark advance?

They need to be done right and think they need to be about 9 inches long. Do not want a fire.

Default One last question

Well since that no crank is fixed I had one last question motor don't know if it's a newer one or original but when it dies I was thinking of swapping it for a 96 zr1 motor any one know if it's alot of rigging or if it'll just fit right in. Ik I'll have to take the Doug Nash transmission out and replace it and plan to if I can do the swap lol thanks.

Good luck. The LT5 is a VERY hard engine to find. The price tag.
Runs from 15 - 25k engine only. A few years ago. Maybe you can find a totaled ZR1 and pick up the car cheap.??
I found you a 90 with 32k trans & harness for 10k shipping will be fun.
