Default Weird Tail Light Problem

Hi everyone. I went to start my 96 auto coupe but I had to jump start it because it had been a couple of months since I last drove it. I let it sit on for about 10 minutes to charge but when I turned the engine off, I heard a weird rumbling sound from the front of the car and my all my tailights and 3rd brake light stayed on. I popped the hood and turned my headlights on and off to see if the rear lights would turn off. Rear lights are still on and the rumbling was coming from the headlight motor? next to each light. When I turn on the headlights they flip on but both motors continue to spin for about 2-3 seconds more. Could the jumpstart have caused this problem. Also, it was raining for a couple of weeks so could it be water damage? Thanks in advance.

All rear lights on. Car is off, headlights off<br/>

Headlight motor? The top keeps spinning for a couple of seconds after turning on and turning off the headlights.

Before you go off the deep end is the battery fully charged. Does not sound like it from the post and if it's not that where you have to start. I would also charge the battery with it disconnected and then reconnect the battery with its charged. There is a reason for that but in brief, electronics can hang or not have a zero state re-set if not brought up correctly.

Then see what you have when re-connected and go from there. Might have several different things going on at one time. Pull the brake pedal up with your hand and see if the brake lamp goes off.

Possibility the 3 bushings in the headlight motor may also be causing a problem if never rebuilt.

Would the headlight motors stay on longer from a weak battery? I just disconnected the battery.and using a charger to recharge the battery.
