So I wrote this whole thing up and by the time I was ready to post you already did. So good deal sounds like you are on the right track. I'll save my thoughts for someone else.

Good job.

Quick question does anyone know either what the pet number for the booster vacuum hose is or where I could find one? I know I could just get the same size diameter hose but I'm not sure if the bends in the original one matter or not?

Good Job! I guess the real question here is; were is the check valve? is it part of the Booster, or is it in the hose. If it's part of the hose assembly you need a direct replacement otherwise any hose would work.

The check valve is connected directly at the booster so it's just a standard vacuum hose from the engine to the valve just with the hose preshaped/bent.

You really need the proper hose with the bends in it. I could not find any new ones or part numbers on a look see. I did find some on EBay used however.

I would try for the mean time try of clear the hose you have. Run some gas thru it, wire, stick and compressed air, do whatever is necessary to clear it up some without damaging it.

There is after market used parts which you may find a good one and may need to go there.

You can also buy the right size vacuum tubing and pre-formed connectors to make the turns. It won't have the stock look, but it will work.

yep Any Vacuum rated hose will work as long as it can be routed nicely.. I am curious as to what in the hell obstructed your hose, and yes it might be reusable.

Well the hose was blocked by what appears to be a plastic screw or maybe part of a plastic tee fitting that was about an inch or two down the line from the booster. Unforutunelty I destroyed the hose getting it out even though I was trying to be careful so now I'm gonna have a heck of a time trying to locate a decent/affordable proper replacement since the one I saw on eBay is like $40 for a used hose that looks in worse shape than this one did before I broke it.

The tubing gets brittle with age. The PO probably broke it and patched in a new section with a tubing connector.
