The car was pulled into the garage shut off would not start so changed the fuel pump and fuel filter now when
The car starts it won't idle unless you pedal it and I get a strong smell of gas an some backfiring .where do I start help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

did you change the fuel filter as well?
