Default Double dumb

After installing super ram, cam, new aluminum heads, new injectors, headers and getting chip burnt the 91 C4 was really starting to scream.
After a couple shake down runs around block I noticed an oil leak around valve cover. This is where double dumb starts!
As I was removing valve covers the thought occurred to me " disconnect wires on alternator it will be easier " but the thought never occurred to me " disconnect the battery"! Now Mr. Double Dumb has a clumsy moment and drops the wires sparks fly and smoke begins to rise from the area behind the battery . Upon inspection I found a fuse link blown so found fusible wire and repaired. BUT now car runs horrible! It sputters, pops, backfires! What did I miss???

Check the codes from the ECM, does it allow you to pull the codes, does it show a item failure?

In addition to looking for codes...

Ohm the injectors, measure voltage from the battery, and (if able) compare commanded advance to what you see on the damper.
