I filed that piece off. I'm waiting on some new samco hoses, which is why I still haven't put it all together. If you guys think I need a new one, I'll get one. A pic

I would try it like you have it and keep an eye on belt ,if not OK it will show up but I doubt it.Looks like you got bad area fixed,but if not, should be easy to replace as you just had it off to do opti.
