I got that code a month ago then the ignition went dead. Turned out to be ICM. Car runs fine. Then light came on again. Car still runs fine. Same code though.
What are your thoughts?
A bit more information needed My over the internet mind reading not working to well today I guess I should have stayed at Holiday Inn last nite.
OK looked at your profile still no help, Sorry not going to view all your posts to find out. But they built C4s for 12 years so it has to be OBD. I would have to guess something is wrong or it would not set a code.
Its a 96 LT1. Last time the light came on it was same code. Then car was dead. Replaced the ICM.

P0300 if you have access to a oscilloscope it might show misfire. Check condition of ignition wires and plugs. It could be opti distributor cap and rotor. Vacuum leak is possible but it would be small since no lean codes.
I am sure at 68k these plugs and wires are originol. Also, there is quite a bit of cracked vacuum lines on the drivers side of the motor.
The line to the cruise control is litterally open.

Im not a vacuum guy. Does anyone have a source for a vacuum hose kit for a 96 LT1?
Also, if anyone has any experience with this project, about how much $$ in labor should it cost?
I am doubting there are any YouTube vids on it.

Vacuum lines should be fairly easy to follow, but checking the service manual for routing is recommended. Take a piece into the parts store and get a length to replace it end to end. There will be different sizes and perhaps some plastic tubing. Be careful poking around it is easy to break old plastic hose barbs and make things worse. A decent shop should be able to help, find one that knows older chevys
