Messed around with it a little bit, do you have any specific questions?

I really just want to read the data for troubleshooting. I can use different program if its easier. I'm using an OBD Diagnostics usb cable. So far I have the cable set to the open position with the drivers installed but cannot connect. I know the engine has to be running for real time but shouldn't it connect with just the key on? Not much info on the cable makers website other than the ads xdf file available. Tried to register at Tunerpros forum but no luck.

Well, I'm running the older version of the Classic EBL and Ostrich for the interface to my 7747 ECM, and no, you do not have to have the engine ON to connect to TunerPro. I just plug in the USB cable into my laptop and boot TP R/T and it will connect. Did you try clicking the connect icon at the top of the screen? Sometimes I have to do that when it doesn't do an auto connect, but then it will connect right away after that and say at the bottom "READY". I have TP R/T version 5.X, but I don't like having to relearn a new app just to tune my motor and the older version I use works just fine for me.

The do data logging you use the "What's Up" app to see all the sensors at work and what the motor is doing. TP R/T is only for modifying the tune itself in the ECM/ECU.

The VERY best advice I can give you on TP R/T is to go to the ThirdGen site. They have an extensive section on tuning using TP. Also there are a few really good guys on there that can help you out. One of them who is called, screen name...rBob is the guy that wrote the program and is a wealth of info. Here is the url... https://www.thirdgen.org/ BTW, there is a rather steep learning curve for the novice that is just learning to tune, be careful on what you do, so you don't trash your motor.

Had time to try it again. Read a few tutorials, tried a few different settings and got it to connect, then disconnect, connect, then disconnect, etc...
I (think) logged a file but haven't tried to see what it is. Anyways, here is a video of it trying to connecting. OK, cant seem to make the link work.
