It's like you are saying no thanks to one pressure regulator, but perfectly fine with the lesser variety because it is more familiar. Comfortable with your bills, I see.
I think you are having mental issues determining the difference between similar objects. I think you are the one that needs help here and its your mental health - not any car.

I would rather he get injector cleaner snake oils than mental health scams
Good lord this post got out of hand. Kind of late on the update but here it goes. So at the time I had the LTR runners from as&m. So I went with the 211/219 cam. Then I stumbled across an Accel base. Figured better than my ported stock base. So ended up changing that and the cam. Still wanted a little more. So I found a superram and got that and also found a superram throttle body. So I ended up with the complete superram setup on the top end. Also rebuilt the tranny and put in a vigilante converter with a 2400 stall. And also decided to learn how to tune on my own. Put in a wideband o2 and figured out how to hook up to the ecm so tuner pro could read the AFR somewhat close to the gauge. Before I got my timing right my car made 303 hp at the wheels. I almost have this sucker dialed in. Just having a little trouble getting the AFR right in the 2000- 3000 rpm range. But other than that the car makes great power. Took to the strip once last year and some people were shocked. Once I get it right I’ll take it to the dyno again. It’s not too far off. But I admit if I knew I was getting the superram in the first place I would’ve gotten the 219 cam. Oh well maybe sometime in the future if I have the money to spare.
My fear would be that I don't know what the engine has been through. If my neighbor has a decent mileage truck that took a hit in the rear and the engine is working in good order but the rear is a mess, sure. OTOH, if the engine was rode hard and put away wet, I'd definitely be leery at any price. For a junkyard engine, NFW would I put it in my car unless I was selling it without a through look over by a trusted machine shop. I really don't want to pull it out again after 20000 miles.
If I had a 3rd Gen F-body, sure. OTOH, the C4 has a couple of other things that will need to play nice with the LS ECM. My FX3 changes position based on speed. Will it be as simple as splicing a VSS line? IDK. I have heard that I would have to change the tone ring to get ABS. IDK for sure on that. I have a 91. Would I need to rewire the gauge or will it fit nicely? The Atari gauge can easily be redone. Later cars, not sure since they don't have a manual gauge for it from what I see. You could run your 700R4 or adapt a 4L80E into it.
At the end of the day, we are doing a lot of fabricating and wiring to shoehorn an LS into a C4. Why don't I just buy a C5 that already has it instead of trying to do a boob job on Grandma?
A boob job on grandma way to funny. Trying to picture the silver hair and perky DD's bet the queen of the bingo game. Actually kind of icky at the end of the day
