Found the issue. There was a tear in the gasket and one of the bolt holes in the trans oil pan was a little tore up. So i ordered a new pan and gasket. But it wont arrive till friday. Is the trans going to be okay just sitting there with no pan or oil?

As long as no dirt can somehow blow up into it, it should be fine. I've left my truck open for a few days.
Ive replaced a 1 wire with another 1 wire and it does not seem to be working now. Do i need to upgrade to the 2 wire? And if so what do i do with the second wire?
Drivers side sensor in the cylinder head is the dash readout. Passengers side head is the fan switch. The one the ecm uses is on the front of the intake under the air pump or around there. I can't tell which one that is. The ecm one is already a two wire unit.

So did you put in a sender or a switch on the passengers side. The fan uses only a thermostatic on off switch and if any other one is put there in its place, it won't come on. If you turn the key to run and touch that wire to ground it should kick on the fan.

I put a new sensor in. I may of broke the plug in the process. My thinking is while the dash is telling me the engine temp the ECM is not being told so it's not turning the fan on to cool off the engine. Why i figured i would need to replace the plug.

That is the ecm one. The fan is controlled solely by a heat switch. Replacing the fan one with the wrong sensor type will cause it to not work. The sensor you need for the fan in the passengers side head is this One.
