With you on the cycling switch, basic operation has not changed in decades. I posted for a C60 manual system in hast. However the C68 automatic system (diagram) have the same parts and functions are the same. The C68 automatic temperature adjustment system is quite different from the manual.

The newer cars donít use a cycling switch but instead a variable speed compressor. A whole new theory of operation and expensive repairs.
