I sure wish you guys had told me about how cheezy ground effects are before I put mine on. I have noticed that all the ricers wave at me now :D

I have on one my car, actually came with it. I think it looks good on the cars. Just because its pretty screamline on the back. Anything that would stick up off would look like crap. To each his own.

My car came with one. As soon as I can get some mechanical problems fixed long enough to leave it at the body shop, mine is coming off. I personally don't care for winged vettes, but opinions are a dime a dozen. After mine comes back from the shop from having the leaking rebuilt tranny fixed, the body shop is next.

Lookin at the greenwood sig series and the aci wing that is pretty much the same as the greenwood. Why is the greenwood more expensive, is it just the name or is it actually better. I'm not sure but the greenwood wing comes with brackets the bolt dirrectly to the frame- I don't think the ACI does. Lastly is there any real performance gain after installing the wing or is it just all looks. Thanks in advance.
Mann!!!! You DON'T want to go there with this question about this wing stuff!! trust me!!!.... I know first hand about making that mistake!!! :nono:

I think that theres more vettes with wings on them then we think there are... they just don't want to get killed here on this forum by reveling them selfs, I guess theryre not as stupid as I am, so thery're keeping a low profile.

My 84 had a Greenwood wing on it when I bought it and quite frankly I love it. Just enough wing to finish off the back of the car without being overdone.

Hey Lo-Blow don't sweat it, I think your spoiler looks cool, but then again I've always had a liking for the Trans Am/European touring car look. Do you have any clearer up close pictures?

I have to admit that when i bought my '85 it had a wing on it, when I got it home it came off right away, i sold it to some kid down in minnesota who mounted it on the back of a mazda truck. 'NOUGH SAID!

The only wing that I would ever seriously consider, that means sober and not pretending to take the advice of some little hottie :yesnod: would be the small one that mounts onto the rear glass. similar to the one on a stealth r/t, those are pretty cool

If you like the way it looks, get one. Mine came with it on, and I don't want to take it off, I think it looks good.

"If vettes were supposed to have wings, GM would have....blah blah blah"

If vettes were supposed to have 500 hp, GM would have...same scenario. Do what you like, make it the way you want it. Afterall, that's why people put the GS hash marks on , isn't it?

Here's my opinion:
The C4 was one of the most wind-tunneled cars of the time. It was designed to slice through the air with the lowest drag and cleanest body lines. At 168 MPH, there is enough down force to keep the tires firmly planted on the pavement without the need for any spoiler.

So, if you add a spoiler, you're doing it just for looks. IMHO, any spoiler on a Vette breaks up the body line flow. There's the added benifit of being able to crack the fiberglas on the back deck where it is mounted. No, not by downforce, but just by knocking it with your elbow when you go to fill the tank or when you wash the car! Save your money for performance upgrades.

No add on body parts, spoilers, wings can improve the looks. And this opinion is coming from a guy that has owned six T/As!

I actually like the looks of the wing thats why I was thinking about putting one on. It's not going to happen right away it's a future mod. First I plan on putting my crome ZR-1 wheels on. Then I'm going to lower the car with the M/A lowering kit. I wanted the B&B triflo but it's a little pricey might go with the corsa. Any suggestions on some other handling mods? I put the edelbrock performer ias shocks in, thought about bigger swaybars. Right now the car kind of floats and I'm really not a big fan. It's a 95 coupe with just under 40,000 miles. I think the tires have a big part to do with the not so great handling they are firestones and are pretty wooped. The fronts are also 255's next time I'm going with 285"s all the way around.

Here ya go!!

Don't mind the picture with me in it! I was having a bad hair day, so I tied it back. :D I usualy keep it loose down past my shoulders, but it was very windy that day! I thought that I'd put this angle which is more of a ground level shot. The others pictures were taking before I painted it with the cameleon color for a more suddle apearance...you know, the one that changes colors in the sun, when you look at it from differant angles? it has a black apperance with no sun light or when the light hits it once again, at a certain angle. the other colors that appear are green that matches the car, purple, and black with some silver in it.

You go Lo-Blow. For some strange reason, it looks great to me. Especially with the ugly landscape. ;)
As for handling, the tires and rims were the best investment I made. Since you want ZR-1 style rims, get the GS rims with the 17x11 rears. You can put 275 on the front and 315s on the rear. That with good rubber will really wake up the handling. With mine wearing the Michelin Pilot Sports I outhandled a stock C5 that was trying to keep up with me. He flew off the road and cracked his frame.
Next, what suspension model do you have? You may want to get different springs. Also, the HAL Qa1 shocks are great. 12 settings you can adjust while on the car.
I have the Power Effects exhaust. If you want to hear how they sound feel free to let me know. They are adjustable sound level wise and if you get them from the maker, cheaper supposedly than Corsa.
