Mineshaft Air
The DA was around -600ft.
Car picked up ~2 mph in the 1/8 and 1/4 from my previous 7.92@94.53 / 12.02 @ 120.69 but with the same junk 60ft times.
Car was dead hooking off the line but the 1-2 shift had the tires spinning quite a bit and the clutch is starting to slip a little on 2-3 and 3-4 shift.
Going down in DA by about 2500ft picked up about 20-25hp.
Best 0-60mph with 1ft roll out was 3.85s
Best 40-100mph was 5.64s
Anyway, it was fun and the car was totally ripping last night. I need a lot more practice and I need to let a little more air out of the rear tires for grip.
LQ9 6.0L, LS3 top end, 220/224 .575/.575 112lsa cam, 1-7/8 long tubes, 3" mandrel exhaust w/ X and no cats, TKO 600 5spd, D44 3.45, 275/40/17 Toyo R888R rear tires

i have r888 and they arent bad at drag launch (let down to 22 psi or so).
obviously when weather is cold (below 55) they can spin but otherwise a good compromise
i managed to rip off a 2.0 60 ft on my 315/35r17 proxes r888 (at 22 psi) this summer
it would have been an amazing run, but i blew my muffler out at 6000 rpm . Thought i blew the motor up and let off.

Im on a zf6 with lightweight flywheel (trickier to launch).
i do some chirps (on wetted surface but not water box) to clean off tires then release clutch about 3000 rpm
slow release (which is rough on clutch) and slight steering corrections to counteract slight sideways movement.
(obviously if i get a lot of wheelspin or sideways movement i will let off and abort the run)
i want to put in a line lock to do 2nd gear burnouts (on wetted surface) vs. these hops/chirps which cant be good on my driveline

LS7 flywheel and clutch kit with Tilton 6000 series hydraulic release bearing.
The flywheel is fairly heavy, something like ~26lbs and the pressure plate and disc are ~30lbs.
When I bought the car it had a LS6 clutch setup in it that was about ~6lbs lighter.
Tires were at 24psi and they were spinning in 2nd gear from a 40 roll earlier in the evening. But again, it was very cool outside for North Texas.

I am cleaning out the garage now to make room for the trans removal. Then I will have to convince the wife to let me send the TKO off to get faceplated.
