that dash issue sucks, my 85 does it when the temps are below 50, so I never got into it. It has been rebuilt, so for me it's somewhere in the engine compartment.
I'm thinking it's electrical interference from a wire picking up spark voltage somewhere... ?

If mine doesn't turn out to be the CCM, that is responsible for providing all input into the display per the FSM,
I'll send my dash off to get rebuilt. For now I am just happy it is running.
Like almost every other time I try to save money it ended up just shy of $3500. I also had a leaking valve on the high side of the air conditioner system replaced including emptying (vaccum) the system and refilled. I also had a new battery installed and a few other odds and ends which amounted to $3700 😱😱
Time to sell before it bleeds you to death! It is a sharp ride,
Dude I get what you are saying but why sell it now when it's running great to buy another
one that I don't know the history? It's like a friend told me when I bought this, you don't buy
a $5k car, you buy a $10K with a $5K down payment. I am a little past that but not much,
new carpet this spring and I am going to cruise during the summer with the top down.
It's a nice looking vette and like he says he now knows what he's got. I bought my 90 for 7,500 and expect to put a few thousand in it over the next year or so and after that hope to have a relatively trouble free ride. Never know with a 30 year old car though.
