Think before you post!
More and more, I have been seeing more people post erroneous info on the forum. When wrong info is posted is creates a ripple effect if it goes uncorrected. Please think before you post, if you don’t know the info or not sure about source, please mention it in your post, don't state it as fact. We all have wrong info or misconceptions from time to time, (I know I have been wrong a few times), but I just would like to keep the information as accurate as possible on this forum.
My other pet peeve is people, who don’t read the whole thread before posting.
Jay

Most of the time I cringe when I see things posted that are obviously wrong, but I don't hold it against someone for giving me a good guess either.
Since we're on this topic, I saw a post at the "other" forum last night that made me cringe. Someone suggested using the TV cable to adjust shift points for a 700r4
Anyway, it's up to the original poster to wade through the muck and pick out the pearls of wisdom.

If I'm ever getting too sloppy, I want someone to tell me so I can adjust my conduct accordingly. :yesnod:

i seriously believe the above topics would do the C4 world a lot of good if they were ever logged for easy access.
Also, I've been challenged and/or corrected by fellow Forum members upon occasion and appreciate it. Though I strive for 100% accuracy it doesn't always happen and a solid debate is always welcome.
"I am not a certified mechanic, nor have I played on on TV and I have not spent the night at a Holiday Inn. This is just my opinion."

Its a good theory you have but in the real world it doesn't work that way. Too many people in and out of the forum and lots don't read this every day or even every week.
Personally I like to see the forum move at a quick rate that it does, if you don't like answering questions again then don't . But what if you have a question about something you need to really know and it was asked while you were on vacation 3 months ago? You can do a search and just use those answers or maybe just ask again and get some new answers to go along with the old answers.....ex Brake pads come and go, there are new pads put on the market all the time. Should you just go with the old ones that were the best 2 or 3 weeks ago or go with the new pads that were just put on the market last week and designed for your car? I know that question is not likely but it can happen  So lets all lighten up, let some of us that have short memorys not feel like we have to check every thing, even old threads, before we ask a question. :blueangel:
I have noticed that there are people here who (in my opinion) lack the experience to post on certain topics. Some feel that posting on every topic in the world is necessary. Yes, its quite appreciated if you truly know about the topic, but if you don't it can throw some off real good. I am only 22, and I am quite aware of my place in the world- my knowledge is limited to the books, not much hands-on. For that reason, I lurk and post only when I am certain I can help someone.
Not trying to offend anyone, just hoping this will make some think.
