Some smog shops won't want to even look at it, so you may have to shop around for a shop that is willing to test it. They will input all the eo's when they test it. As for a cam I found if you stick to about a 222/228 on a 114lsa you won't have any "lope" If they can hear a lope they probably will tell you to go away.. It is a learning curve to run the ebl-but even with a lot of mods you can make it run strong and very clean for the tailpipe dyno test.
With the intercooler in front of the radiator you won't be able to run the AC on hot days as it'll more than likely overheat. I found a procharger IC that will go where the air filter was, so working on fitting that in there. Carb site just specifies IC with the p600b-so if you have the correct name on the IC it's good. Be prepared-once you start down the SC modified road it just grows lol!
Thanks Pete. I have a smog shop that does my 2001 Ford F250 and is the only one who will pass my Ford. Damn thing has the OB2 set up, however it should be tested as an OB1 system which these want a be techs can’t understand. When they stiffen up the smog laws years ago nobody would pass me and pretty much made appointments with the Referee station every other year instead of going to a smog shop. Referee where the only one that would pass me till I fell on this smog shop. These guys are good and do their homework and have already said they would take the vette in and should pass if everything that comes with the procharger kit is on my vette. Big f'n headache out here on smog. Thanks for the tip and looking forward in talking with you more. Thx Ed

Well, the startup didn’t go as I wanted it too. Couldn’t get it to fire up. I can tell there was some kind of a vacuum leak. Then toward the end in attempting trying to get it to start I lost fuel pressure all together. After chasing down those two issues she fired right up. The vacuum leak was the BBK adjustable FPR. The brass fitting on the FPR broke off and I found another vacuum line disconnected. My fuel pressure issue turned out to be a blow fuel pump fuse.

You can watch the fire up here: The fire up

i have reached a point where It’s all supercharger parts going forward. So there has been a little progress on it. Pulled the smog pump and alternator. Then removed the power steering pump and bracket.

After that I cut the alternator tabs off the bracket as per Procharger instructions. Its to make room for the supercharger. The alternator witl not be going back in its original place. Smog pump now deleted.

The only thing left in the engine was removing the fender fairing on the drivers side. Procharger provided a replacement that curves out to allow for the supercharger.

Well for now that is about all we got done. I’m working on my toyhauler fixing things so I can sell it and going back and forth from this project and the RV project. I will be hitting the vette here this week. Next, I’m moving on to the fuel set up.

And one last look at the way the engine bay turned out:

Hope to have more progress on it soon.

Man, I really suck at updating this thread.

A little progress since I last posted. I'm going to be working underneath the vette so decided to jack it up in the air more.

Size does matter.. LOL
.

FMU has been installed:

And the external fuel pump is also installed:

As you can see the hood open I have literally 1.5 inches..

That should be enough room to work underneath there with my new low profile creeper..

So the next order of business is to run the pump relay wire to the battery and work on dropping the oil pan to tap a return line in it for the supercharger oil return.

I did have a set back and I'm leaking coolant fluid somewhere. I’m going to have to pull the AC compressor and emission crap to dig deeper in finding this leak. It started about a week after I installed the water pump. Water pump held up and area around the pump is dry.

This is becoming the leak from hell.

Been a while I know; I was surprise by a DMV notice that my vette registration was due and the vette needed to be smog. I decided that I wanted to get her smog and that will give me 2 years to dial in the supercharger, enough time.

So, I went ahead and remove all the Procharger equipment and put back all the stock equipment to get her back to stock form for the smog inspection.

Things didn’t go as planned and not only did I fail smog once but twice. Rather than type out this long venture you can watch my youtube video on the whole ordeal if you want, it will cover what happen and how I fixed it. There is a part 2 on the channel as well.

After I finally got her smog, I got caught up in having a great time just driving the vette for a short run. I cannot tell you enough how fun and how much I miss driving this car. This vette handles like a dream, and there is a reason for that…LOL Here are a couple of photos on the road and she is still looking good in my eyes at least. LED lights was a great improvement..

Well fun is over and it’s time to get back to finishing this supercharger build. Back in the air she went.

It was so nice to remember how fun this vette is with all the performance suspension mods. There is one suspension mod that I never install so I went ahead and picked up an Addco rear sway bar and I'm sure it will compliment the VBP performance springs and Addco front sway bar that was installed years ago. Size of the rear sway bar just makes the stock bar look like a tooth pick..LOL

The break also help my back out and focus on working out and strenghting the muscle back there. Since this next phase will be focusing more on working underneath the vette I needed that break. The project should be going more smoothly now and results should come more quickly. It sucks when you have limitations however, its been 20 months since the major surgery I had and I'm finally feeling useful again.

Now its time to have some real fun..

I'm wrapping up the sway bar this weekend. Waiting on polyurethane bushing I ordered for the bottom part of the end links.

Next week I'll be working on dropping the oil pan so I can drill out the supercharger drain plug, reinstall the FMU and pull the smog pump and alternator back off.

Already have the stock power steering bracket cut and ready to replace the one I had to buy to get the smog pump and alternator back on for the smog inspection.

At that point I'll be mounting the supercharger bracket and supercharger next. So, it's coming just the few things I mention need to get done before the actual supercharger install.

We are starting to pick up steam.

Alternator and smog pump removed.

FMU re-stall:

High flow fuel pump wiring is completed.

Sway bar completed:

The supercharger bracket is on:

I just pulled the starter, however the oil pan is fighting me ATM.. As soon as I can get it off then I'll modify a supercharger return line.

More pics to come.

Here is the latest vid putting this part together:

I also added an oil filter to the oil hose going to the supercharger.
It prevents impurities from entering the supercharger and blocking the oil nozzle.

I bought a broken supercharger and rebuilt it.
It was broken because the oil nozzle was blocked and no oil could flow into the supercharger at all.

That is not a bad idea. I will look into that..

I also finally pull the oil pan after fighting with it and will be tapping in the supercharger return line this weekend.

I strongly recommend it, the filter is a cheap insurance that the supercharger gets enough oil and the nozzle doesn't get blocked.
I bought a case like this and the motorcycle oil filter fits well inside it and it is easy to change.

Thx for the info BigDee!

Where did you pick up your filter at?

So I got the oil return line plumbing done on the oil pan. I went with a oil pan return/drain plug adapter rather than going the route that procharger recommended (with the pan on).

More work having to pull the pan, however it is a cleaner install.

Now that this part is done I'm sure it will be easier to install than it was to uninstall it.

Once I get the pan back on I can move on to the rest of the plumbing and get ready for the supercharger install which I'm so looking forward to see on finally.

Even if I could have made it work the length of the extension pipe, t-fitting and sensor would have put me to close to the firewall. I didn't like it to begin with, but it didn't hurt my feelings to go a different route for the supercharger oil feed line setup.

I opted to go with a GlowShift oil filter sandwich plate adaptor with oil ports. A slight modification will need to be done by enlarging one of the oil ports to a ¼ npt in order oil line and fitting Procharger provided.

I order the sandwich plate but I have not receive it yet. For some reason it’s was a good 2 week wait. Should have it next Tuesday.

Hello,
I built the oil feed for the supercharger like this:

I bought an adapter for the oil pressure sensor, which I had to drill a little deeper to fit the oil pressure sensor.
https://aeroflowperformance.com/afga...ge-1-4-adaptor

This is how I made sure that clean oil goes to the supercharger and I didn't choose any other outlet. Make sure that your output is clean oil and not dirty oil that is just going to the oil filter.
And so I added a filter before the supercharger so that the oil nozzle of the supercharger does not get clogged with dirt under any circumstances.

Thanks for the info MrBigDee, I did contact the facility where I bought the Procharger who gave me the green light on the sandwich plate adapter. I like the idea of a cleaner look and easy access, although the drawback is the oil not running through the filter 1st. Having a filter on the supercharger will filter the oil coming in. They did emphasize about making sure that the oil port was a ¼ npt size as per Procharger specs.

i went to lowes and found some brass plumbing fittings that fit, looked like what MrBigDee did.

i did not have a need for a separate oil filter on the oil feed line into my p600b.

ita my understanding whats coming out of that fitting (for the oil temp sensor) is already filter oil from your oil filter.

The extra filter is prob a good idea, but i never had that nozzle clog on me with the way i was doing it. I was always checking it too
