The extra filter is prob a good idea, but i never had that nozzle clog on me with the way i was doing it. I was always checking it too
Thanks for your input dizwiz24. I probably should have gotten off my a$$ and went down to Home Depot and see what I could of found to make it work. I think what was chipping at me is the tight area I had to work with. It’s bad enough the C4 Corvette is already plague with the lack of space to work with, mostly everything you can think of. LOL

The sandwich plate will makes things more convenient and accessible. I too will be monitoring that supercharger oil filter quite frequently.

On a stock C4 my year you're looking at about 100hp to the ground at 8 psi on average. Members that have done it are claiming that much gain on a stock motor.

A smaller pulley on the supercharger will yield even more hp, but not recommended to go past 8 psi on a stock motor.

On a motor that has been built for this is where the most power gain will be. I talk to 1 owner who is pushing 15 psi on a built motor with a Procharger set up, almost double the psi. The hp gain is crazy at that level. If I recall correctly, I think he said he has the D-1 Procharger not the P600B like I have.

My goals are simple at the moment.

When I bought my own P600B supercharger it was broken, the cause was a nozzle blockage and therefore a bearing damage.

When the shaft bearing had failed, the impeller was damaged next.

True, even if the oil coming through the oil temperature sensor is clean, I would like to be doubly sure that the oil is clean when it comes to the supercharger. That's why I added an extra filter before the supercharger.

idk if your running a intercooler but I was told in the past that you lose about 2 lbs. due to the intercooler. I never got a boost gauge in mine back in the day so never knew what I was actually pushing. 3rd gear when it hooked def. pulled like a freight train.

All depends how you look at it. For a few more grand you would definitely be pushing over 400hp easy. Horsepower always equals $$$. Maybe later..

So not much to post up lately. I bought a new toy and been playing. Yeah I know I should be working on this toy. No worries though the new toy is not a Covette replacement. But its time to get back to work.

Not much in the way of pictures. I do have the latest video on this project:

I did get some work done while I was playing. I had to drill and put new threads on the sandwich plate adatper to prep it for the Procharger fitting.

I did get the oil pan back on and what a PIDA this was. This was quite a battle and beat me a few times. I think the worst part was trying to hook up the coolant tube that connects underneat the AC compressor. What the F'k was GM thinking. But the pan is on and the supercharger oil return line is completed.

There was a major set back in actually putting in the supercharger which was my intention this time around. Was so disapointed that I didn't catch this ahead of time and was so bent from it that I needed the break. If you look at the next picture we have a problem with the supercharger bracket.

The Procharger guys will firgure it out first.. Lets just say I'm moving on to adding the intercooler right now before actually installing the supercharger.

Sorry guys not much in pictures this time around.

Next post will have decent pictures to add.

Yep Pete you nailed it. I knew a Procharger guy would know. Good thing is Procharger is still going to make it right thanks to Kris at The Supercharger Store, where I purchase the kit. Now when is it going to get here I don't have an answer for that question.

You'll probably need to cut down the top of the shock post to get lots of room between it and the SC. Also if your motor mounts are the original rubber and worn it'll let the SC start to rub on the frame below it. I changed my mounts to Poly and now it's no worries on that clearance.

Thanks for the tip, Pete. I was hoping to get away from cutting my Koni shock. It doesn't sound like hope will help me out on this one. I'll pull the shock and cut it down before installing the supercharger.

I did replace all the bushings with poly, however the motor mounts I didn't do. I’ll start looking for the poly mounts.

I have Bilstein shocks and didn't have to cut anything.
The charger fit me just fine.

Ok so there is some hope!.LOL Thx Mr BigDee...

Not sure I'll get away with it on the Koni. I think the studs were longer than stock if I recall correctly. But that was too long ago to remember clearly.

I'll put it on the back burner for now till I mock up the supercharger. Would be nice if I had a supercharger bracket. Did you hear that Procharger? LOL

Default The eagle has landed!

The bracket arrived and I guess my coffee break is over. Hate when that happens.

First up was getting the bracket and alternator on.

Soon after that You'all know what follow:

I mock everything up so I could route and attach the oil feed line and return line.

Next I cut off a portion of the fender so the SC would clear.

After that I was able to attached the SC permanently.

All set here.

I'm in the process of editing the YouTube portion of this installed. Should have that up in about 1 week or 1 1/2 week.

Now it is time to move onto the Procharger Intercooler which is the last peice of the puzzle on this install.

So thrill that the SC is on it's been a long time coming.

Is that total dimensions? What's dimensions for just the core? The "radiator part" without the end tanks?

Yes, that was the total dimension. The core is 18"L x 5 3/4"H x 3"W.

I lost a few of those spacers that go between the head unit in the bracket over the years when removing and reinstalling. I recommend you order up an extra set.

Nothing more frustrating than dropping it and it doesn't hit the floor
