Depends on the year of the car. I know in 92 you can just unplug it.
FWIW, the OBDII C4's need a specific plug to be used when you disconnect the CAGS plug to prevent a code. I think it is 95 and later that this applies to. Anyone care to verify?

I disabled my CAGS by pulling fuse #28. It works fine, the only downside being that it also disabled my backup lights. Speaking only for myself, I'll make that trade-off anyday.
It would help to know the year of your vette. You might be able to just unplug the relay on the passenger fender well. And yes, you will show a DTC 27.

If you still have the 92 car, all you have to do is unplug the cags connector on the drivers side of the Zf trans. Some kind of seal would be a good idea to prevent destruction of the connectors by the elements.
