Default OBD I Scanner

Hi everyone, what's everyone using for to read pre 96 OBD I check engine codes and live data? My car is a 91.

My old Auto Xray (705-001-02A) looks to be fried due to battery corrosion.

Also, anyone happen to know where they can be repaired? Thanks.

I use a CP9690 Elite AutoScanner which does OBD 1 and 2, It does have the ability to collect data. Don't think it is made anymore but you could probably find one on ebayor Amazon.

Have you tried cleaning the terminals in the scanner?

Your 91 runs the 7727 speed density ECM. There's TONS of free tuner support for this ECM. I recommend buying the OBD1 ALDL cable from moates.net. It's $80.
https://shop.moates.net/products/aldu1-and-cabl1
Then download the free version of TunerProRT to a PC laptop. You'll be able to read all live stream data with this setup.

Check engine codes come direct from jumping pins on the OBD1 connector and reading the blinking CEL codes on the dash.
