1985 throttle issue.
With engine off, check the voltage on it at closed throttle and then monitor it as you open the throttle.

In my 20+ years of owning an 85, most issues to stalling were fuel pump or MAF related. So invest in a fuel pressure gauge, spare MAF spare fuel pump to keep on hand. they are quite reliable however think of them like a light bulb, can work one moment dead the next with limited warning. I never got more than 10 years out of a fuel pump on a weekend driven vette, had a MAF fail without warning and she would idle but die on acceleration. That was only one MAF failure though in 20 years, the car also told me what to look at due to a MAF fault code.
Good luck, should be a simple fix hopefully. As anything it can be made reliable with maintenance and new parts, My 85 was very reliable once I went through and slowly replaced all the common old electrical sensors and components. A well maintained car will not let you down, use good quality fuel and keep battery fully charged when not driving it often. Large voltage drops / spikes and poor connections are disastrous to electronic components.
