89 Brake Master Cylinder Warning Switch

I believe that my Brake Master Cylinder Warning Switch is faulty as it seems to be leaking fluid as you can hopefully see in the image.

To fix, is this as simple as just unscrewing and replacing the Warning switch and then re-attaching the black plug? Or is there a more involved process of brake bleeding, or anything else I'm unaware of?

If it’s leaking there, I would replace it. The switch has no real seal.

When replacing it, is it as simple as unscrewing the white and replacing it, or would I need to bleed the brakes?

You may want to just keep your present one in there, and let it leak if not too bad...

If brake fluid is leaking out the switch hole, you HAVE to replace the master cylinder. The switch can be put in the new master cylinder. Your cylinder is bad.
