they (fastchip performance) tell me that it can't be done. he says that i can't use LT1edit to modify a program that he has programmed.
this sounds kind of fishy to me... course i don't know that much about programming.
i figured a file is a file right?

i searched the archives... it appears that i will have to get a dealer to flash my ECM back to stock before i can even do any tuning to it? that really sux.

From what I've seen on the different mailing lists...Ed Wright does 'transpose' some numbers so his program isn't downloaded and sold/given out to folks.
Makes sense, but if you plan to do it yourself...certainly not.
Ed Wright locks his tunes so you are stuck with what he does. I know one of the best chip tuners and he can't do any thing with a Wright chip except throw it away.

I have been able to hack Eds OBD1 tunes. I have a couple that he did in my files that I use from time to time. I have not seen a OBD2 file yet nor have I the tools to tune OBD2 cars except for my 2002 Suburban.
