Hey, if you really want to be ignored and made to feel like a worthless nobody, try to get an email response from vettes.com. I sent them five emails to get a new console door this summer, and was greeted with icy cold silence. I just don't get it, why don't they return emails?

I've got to respectfully disagree with you on your assessment of Superior Chevy and Chris. I've placed multiple orders with Jeff before, and now Chris, and I find both to be great people. The prices quoted and charged to me were fair and a heck of a lot better than I get at any of my local (Dallas) dealerships, including the local sponsors of the Vette clubs.

Shipping was UPS, and the rates were exactly what I would have to pay going the other way according to my local shipping center. In other words, a fair price. Clearly, shipping a 50# package across the US is not cheap, but it evens out since I don't pay 8.25% sales tax on out of state buys.

I think you are way overstating the Vaseline factor at Superior Chevy. A local dealership, yes, but not with Chris. He gets the order right the first time, in my experience.

:iagree:

He has my address and CC info on file, I email him asking for a quote, he sends back a total.. and I reply saying I will buy.. and a couple days later the parts show up.. Very easy and great to deal with!

IMHO GMParts Direct just sux!! Sure if you look at just price they seem to be a treasure, but if you have any type of issue with them you're up poopie creek without a paddle!!!

They have NO customer service, in fact they do not list a phone number, and they will simply ignore your e-mail unless it's an order where they can ding you for $, but after the fact they are as rare as chicken teeth!!

Do yourself a favor, don't walk away, run, run fast!!

Call Fichtner, you can talk to real people who will answer their phone if you call!
