Re: Totally Pumped up! (arandy)
 Man, keeping track of this thread is making me feel like my stock Track 1's won't cut the mustard when I finally build my motor... :) You guys are really building some beasts.
In a sense I will be going to a solid axle, which the full spool. But it will still be IRS. Jeb has run his and other like Turbovette into the low9s and even 8s have been seen on the IRS. I think its stronger than people give credit to it. With the spool and elimination of the small spring clips, I believe it will take a hell of a pounding. If the 1/2 shafts start to fail, which I doubt will, based on their diameter, and shortness then Jeb is also working on some chro-moly ones, or even his cyroed ones should be fine.
Red 90, Yeah they should be some pretty power squirl cages :D
Not too sure yet. It will be one of the DFI systems, most likely the FAST one.
Ski...I found my set of 30# SVO injectors yesterday...thought I'd lost them in the shop.
I'll give them a shot first and see if they do the trick before I go bigger. I got them cheap, flowed & matched so I couldn't complain but they were wayyyy too big for the 355 I was putting in the car at the time.
Damn fellas... I just can't wait for all of this stuff to come to fruition! We all need to get together at one of the big events this year and scare the **** out of everyone!!!
I'm busting my azz on these intakes and after they're through I need a little direction from you guys. What of these next four things would ya'll like to see next:
1) Swap conversion to install a TH400 or TH350 into the C4 while retaining the ORIGINAL c-beam (unmodified).
2) REAL headers... Big, like 1 7/8" or larger.
3) Chromoly half shafts
4) Bolt it (hopefully) solid axle setup.
Let me know cuz when I'm done with the intakes I'm starting on another project for C4's...Hell, if nobody wants to cater to US for C4 specific performance parts, I will...

Provided the rear stays in one piece in my car. I would LOVE !!! To put a T350 in mine. So my vote is #1 without a doubt. We found a guy that builds KILLER 350/400s in Ohio, which run cars in the 6s.....yes 6s. His price with a trans braked 350 is only 1245.00. He said the 400s are stronger, and are good to 6s where the 350s will take 8s all day long. For that price I would order one right along with Dad had I an easy install with it.
I have been reading some VERY interesting chassis setup information as of late. I think I have our cars pretty well figured out, as far as how to dial in the rear suspensions. I would like to talk with you some time about what you think of my logic. I think it is very sound and pretty straight forward.
It has to do with the 1/2 shafts and the camber of the rear wheels. Playing with the two I think you could get nearly as efficient as a solid axle setup. Its pretty in depth to explain my thoughts/procedure I plan to deploy this spring on my car.
Whew...I'm glad ya'll said #1 cuz it's actually the other thing I'm working on right now and directly involves MY car as the guinea pig. So, I'll go pick up a couple of TH400 and TH350 empty cases to use for mockup...
The trick to getting a C4 to hook is ALL in the suspension geometry. The camber and caster are imperative on these cars because the suspension has so much ability to "move." I've found that several degrees of positive camber allows the car to flat patch the tires when the weight transfers and it squats... If you've got the car setup for negative camber or at 'O' what happens is that when the weight shifts and the car squats the tires push outwards and you lose contact with the track surface. Fortunately our cars are VERY adjustable in the rear so you can really work on them to make them bite.

Is that Rossler? If not, you should check out Rossler just outside of Youngstown, or Burt Brown in Ashtabula. Both build strong trannies and have good reputations around here.
Torque junkie, NO these heads are flawless, through and through. I am not sure what that is showing up in the pictures. :skep:
Redl98, HOLY CRAP! Man that make me feel much better.
I have many questions for you. I was thinking about going with the high ports, but then found these Brodix Heads. I couldn't justify the added costs and potential trouble (heads etc) the little more airflow would justify.
Anyways. If you like answer the questions here or to my email ski_dwn_it@yahoo.com
1. What does your car weight?
2. What intake you running
3. RPMS?
4. 60' times?
5. MPH?
6. Specifics of your setup. compression etc.
Sorry for all the questions, Corky and I are trying to be conservative with our guestimates so we are not disapointed, but my gut say we are going to be FLYING. If you can answer some of the above questions, it will give us a much better idea where we will land.
