right side frame rail just behind the front tire - sort on under the passengers feet. Easy to get to from underneath. It's the standard GM EFI filter - same one most 80's GM's use - about 20 bucks at any parts store in the world.

The cost is right around $10.00 at the discount auto parts stores.

Make sure that you run the gas tank down as much as you can in order to lower the static pressure at the filter when you remove it. Also a good strategy to change out the filter after letting it sit over-night.

As others have said, under the passenger side right next to the frame. There is a metal plate that covers it. As I recall it has three bolts to remove it. Be sure to open the gas cap to relieve the pressure before you remove the filter. If you don't the pressure will push out a lot of gas. I learned that the hard way. It is not a bad job once you get the car high enough off the ground.
