Default Question for Vortech LT1 owners

On the Z bend aluminum tube, that connects to the heater core hose and runs along the frame, under the pivot of the right front upper control arm, which side of the thin a/c line did you run the tube on? Toward the engine, or between the line and the wheelwell? This is on a 94, which was the first year for R134A, so 92-93 may not have the same line there. Please take a look at your's and let me know. Thanks.

In my car that tube went to the engine side of that small ac line. Meaning that the small tube is between the Z tube and the fender well fiberglass. I also wrapped some spare fire sleeving around the tube where it passes under the control arm to give it some insulation and abrasion resistance. You could also use corrugated tubing to do the same to protect the tube.

Cool. So either everybody agrees this is where it goes, or me and Tjwong are the only 2 people here with a Vortech
Sounds good either way.

I bought mine used so I didn't have the z-bend so I just left the hose as it was. I did add a sleeve over it.
