Well, I would, but if you know anything about the military their vehicles sometimes go years without an oil change if the oil analysis says the oil is still good to go.
Think about it, though. What's an oil change cost? I'd do it.
I figure I'll put clean oil in before winter, so nothing that's in the current oil gets to sit and corrode anything. Then new oil in the spring. Worst case I change the oil three times a year.
Not sure about that but I would change the oil after the winter hibernation.
Actually I change mine before I put it away. I do the same thing for my boat and you'll see others doing the same.
The logic is that the oil builds up acids and you don't want that sitting over time. My father in law is an Amsoil dealer and he'll tell ya different. He screams at me that there is no need to change the oil at all if it doesn't need it
Does it REALLY matter if you only have 1600 miles on your car? Not sure. I put about 3000 on my car and it gets changed every season. The boat only gets about 30 hours on it total and I change both of its engine's oil as well.
