LT5 coffee table?
Why not? The motor has to go somewhere to make room for the LPE 415 stroker motor under the hood! :D
Many thanks to Corey Henderson, who made this project happen.

That is great! I love it. While I'll probably never be in a position to have an LT5 coffee table I will keep in mind the wheel/tire version.

Dude - you stole my idea!!! Although, I think I'll steal your idea about the wheels coffee table - I have a few wheels that'll work great!!
Now - my biggest road block to actually putting a 10K engine in the living room - how did you secure the glass from moving on top of the engine? It would slip on the plenum - some rubber stoppers? :seeya
Edit - I see your 4 metal posts now - very nice - aluminum yet too!! Nice job indeed!!

Stole your idea? I don't think so...I've been thinking about this long before I was in a position to buy a ZR-1. :yesnod:
Corey fabbed up some 3" tall aluminum supports, threaded them, and I screwed them into the four outermost holes where the upper plenum meets the injector housings. Topped each support with a small clear rubber pad from Home Depot, and the glass just clears the top of the plenum.
bhamvett: yeah, been playing since the 6th grade, which is about 21 years now.

Okay - maybe stole is the wrong word, but you know what I mean - this is the ULTIMATE coffee table, in my opinion - I've toyed with it - glad to see that someone actually had the cojones to do it!! Looks great!! Question is: do you run synthetic in that puppy or dino oil? :jester
Edit: Man - the LT5 is definitely in your blood!! Will you be going to BG next year? Would love to see your beast, and shake the hand of a man of fine taste. :yesnod:

Actually, mine is the second one I know of...Paul Dehnert has a similar table sitting in SW's dealership. Mine is probably the only one in a living room, though.

How many people did it take to move it? Nice drum kit. I was thinking of buying an Ayotte custom, but that money went into the car. I will have to post a pic of mine if I can dig one up.

Very nice......wife said I could have one but it would have to go upstairs. She apparrently has a little more knowledge about some things than what I thought! (I could take it up in pieces though, hmmmmm)

I heard you have a toilet made from a Ford 302 out of a '69 Mustang.
If I did, I guess it would have 4 "bowls." Right?

Re: LT5 coffee table? (90 Corvette ZR-1)
Easy.....scrub down the whole tire with Simple Green and a brush, rinse and dry thoroughly, plop it on the carpet, and set a 38" diameter piece of glass on it. :D

Re: LT5 coffee table? (DoctorV8)
I have thought of the same idea but can't justify spending the $$$$$.
Anyone ever do a coffee table with a ZR-1 rear wheel?
I do have those sitting in my garage.

Inquiring minds want to know Sanjay - my staff all are curious if your significant other uses this room, or if it is "The Boy's Room". They're divided on the beauty of the engine table  , but all agree that the tire table is a "cute" and "nice" touch.  :seeya
