If that year has the larger ABS units (don't which do or don't, so that year question wasn't all that great) they're workin on a bracket that lowers that unit.. the smaller ABS units is what the kit currently comes with.

What power levels are you expecting out of her?

I have spoken to dale....in the past....from what I recall....his project isnt finished. I will not have any problems with the fabricating....I think my biggest problem is going to be the dash display reading "reduced engine power" I have turned all the codes off.....still there. Even if
I unplug the PCM completely it is still there.

I am having the intake pipes chromed and the exhaust housing silver coated.

specs
427ci C5R 8:5 compression PTK twin turbos 61mm
C5R main and head studs
Callies magnum 4.00 crank
Oliver Billet rods
Coated bearings
Mahle custom 36cc reverse dome coated turbo pistons, Hellfire .043 top rings.
AFR casting heads...CNC'd by ET performance...250cc intake runner...flowing in the 340's with great low lift numbers as well.
Manley Iconel exhaust valves
Cam Motion turbo camshaft grind dur 234 /232 116 lift .620/.620
FAST 90mm port matched intake, Nick williams Cable Throttle body
Kinsler high flow fuel rails
90lb Delphi injectors from Precision turbo (flow matched)
Fuel system BG 2000hp fuel pump -10 line from tank to -8 Y at the fuel rail. from the rails to a Magna fuel 1:1 boosted referenced regulator. Return line is -8. Also plumbed to retain the passenger side tank "jet pump".
Big Stuff 3 with trans control and data logging
E-Boost 2
3 Bar MAP
Electronic fuel pressure gauge
DTE stage 2 3:90 micro polished heat treated ,cold stabilized rear.
DTE brace
Fully built 4l60E transmission
Yank 3600 stall converter

Evans billet water pump with evans coolant...running 5 psi cap.
Exhaust B&B triflow with X-pipe
All meticulously installed...by me!
everything looked real good until I read 4l60E

Actually on my year 98 the ABS is in the rear .....so I shouldnt have any problemm, with fittment...

As far as HP....not sure what to expect.....Im sure what ever it makes I wont be able to put it to the ground......

Right now the 4L60E is the weak link......then the rear.....I am just not ready to back half the car....

Just having alot of fun with the project.....its an addiction.....
I try not to cut corners...do it right or dont do it at all...

Tom the last project went well with the Big Stuff 3, Low 9 sec with 18lb boost. The BS3 will also control the 4L60E but I can't offer any help with the dash. Let me know if you need any more info.

I'm on Trans #3 for this year, I will let you know how it holds up. I have heard the trns can live on a high hp car but the tune is critical. Only time will tell. the back 1/2 thing I fear is the only solution.

well guess what???

spent the day working on the hp eio 2 bar. i have blitz sbc id ii and hp data log my lc-1 Wb READY PERFECTLY!.

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW SMOOTH MY CAR RAN!!! i data logged for a little under 100kpa and a/f# looked decent.

i even had a chance to open the electric cutouts and OMG, what a difference as far as spool! and iam not even talking about at any boost just absolute (0).

after driving for 10 to 15 minutes i felt the top side of the hood and it wasnt even hot. then i felt the hood liner w/heat relective stuff that i installed and WHOW what a difference in temps

ill start more tuning tomorrow and evenings of next week!

BTW people that stated that my car would be a dog off boost cause of compression @ 8.37----- ah no! just think, ill really get those t4 to work

good to hear Nick!!! I spent the late afternoon taking a nice 100mile drive along the coast in a fairly warm day in cali.. Heat was definitely not an issue and my afr's are getting closer and closer to commanded.

Just like you, the car's purrin like a kitten in SD. Got brave enough to get her into boost (6psi) just for a moment and afr stayed steady at 11.8 while she pulled smoothly and strong.

Are you doing the VE tuning, if so how do you like it?
